OUR PRINCIPLES

The Birth of Our Foundation

Rotary Club of Durgapur Central was founded in 1998 by a group of visionary community leaders who recognized the need for organized, sustainable community development in the rapidly growing industrial city of Durgapur.

Our foundation was built upon Rotary International's time-tested principles, but with a distinct local flavor that addresses Durgapur's unique challenges and opportunities. From 25 charter members, we've grown into a vibrant community of over 61 dedicated Rotarians.

The foundation operates as the backbone of all our initiatives, ensuring that every project aligns with our core mission: to create sustainable change that uplifts every segment of Durgapur society.

Health & Wellness

Providing medical camps, health awareness programs, and support for healthcare infrastructure to ensure community well-being.

Our Organizational Structure

Board of Directors

Our Board provides strategic direction and governance. Composed of experienced Rotarians and community leaders, they ensure accountability and alignment with Rotary International's standards.

The Board meets quarterly to review progress, allocate resources, and set long-term goals for our foundation's growth and impact.

Project Committees

Specialized committees focus on key areas: Health & Wellness, Education, Environmental Sustainability, Economic Development, and Community Infrastructure.

Each committee is led by a chairperson with relevant expertise and includes both Rotarians and community volunteers.

Administrative Team

Our dedicated staff handles day-to-day operations, financial management, donor relations, and project coordination to ensure smooth functioning of all foundation activities.

The team works closely with volunteers and committee members to implement projects efficiently and transparently.
